The Fishing Spots

Lakes and Rivers:

The vast and varied hydrographical system of the region offers anglers (lake or river) many possibilities.

A dozen trout and migratory fish routes are available within 30 kilometres of our accommodation (spate and lough rivers). These routes are wading passable and the main techniques are fly fishing and spinning. As we are practising “no kill” fishing on our trout spots, we recommend barbless hooks.

With the proximity of legendary lakes such as Lough Mask, Lough Carra and Lough Corrib an immense playground awaits you. Search for trophy fish is generally practised on these lakes. The pike density is lower than on small stretches of water but they regularly produce fish records. These are indeed exceptional habitats for the quality of the fish they produce.

When the weather makes it impossible to go out on these huge lakes, we have a network of several small lakes, closed or linked with rivers which are home to a density of pike and offer comfort and safety even in windy conditions.

The boats are on site and tailored to the needs of fishermen (fully equiped with four stroke engine, Humminbird fish finder, electric motor Minn Kota life jacket, boga-grip, HPA floating anchor, oars).

With their knowledge and their long experience of fishing in Ireland, guides on the site will advise you in accordance with the weather, technical needs and where the fish are more prolific at the time.

Sea:

Our offshore playground is also vast and varied. Between Clew Bay, Killary Fjord, beaches and estuaries the number of spots is impressive. Thanks to the high mobility and maneuverability of our boat (Linder Arkip 460), we can change location quickly and safely. Electronics upscale onboard allows us to be responsive and accurate when looking for positions and fish. The most common species present in our sectors are pollock, cod, ling, mackerel and seabass.

Our fishing practice is principaly lure drift or "anchored”, but we also use natural bait fishing to attract beautiful fish like skate.
